Heatbeat
Heatbeat is the Argentine trance project founded in 2006 by Agustin Servente and Matías Chávez, known as Matías Faint. Since 2018, Faint has continued as the sole member. Influenced by Paul van Dyk, The Prodigy and BT, the project developed a high-energy blend of trance, tech trance, progressive house and electro house, often adding Spanish-styled melodic passages to its sound. That regional melodic character and the use of current-hit bootlegs in live sets gave Heatbeat a recognisable approach within trance.
The original duo completed its first world tour in 2012, a year that also brought an own radio show and two tracks on Beatport's top trance chart. A 2019 appearance at Beats for Love in Ostrava, Czech Republic, is among the documented festival dates. Support from Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, Tiësto and Markus Schulz helped amplify the project, while performances alongside Above & Beyond, John O'Callaghan, Cosmic Gate and Ferry Corsten placed it within a broad international trance network. Heatbeat has also collaborated with John O'Callaghan, Richard Durand, Alex M.O.R.P.H.
and Jordan Suckley. In 2017, it co-founded Aerys Records with Armada Music to support Latin American artists. Heatbeat's career has paired touring and DJ-driven selection with a label platform designed to extend that Latin American connection.
