Sneak
DJ Sneak began his DJing career in 1983 and has since become one of house music's longest-running selectors, now based in Toronto after coming up through Chicago's house scene. He mixed fabric 62, a compilation for London's Fabric nightclub, entirely on vinyl without the aid of computers, a detail that underscored his reputation as a traditionalist behind the decks even as digital DJing became standard.
Sneak hosts the long-running Vinylcast podcast series, which compiles recordings from his live club and festival sets around the world, giving listeners direct access to his set structure and track selection rather than studio-only mixes. He built and continues to run the label Magnetic Recordings, founded in 2001, as a platform for tracks that move through his own DJ sets alongside those of other house DJs on his roster.
Sneak has cultivated a self-styled House Gangster persona across his career, combining his Chicago house roots with a global touring schedule that has taken him to clubs and festivals across North America, Europe and beyond. His decades-long consistency behind the decks, reinforced by the fabric mix and his ongoing podcast series, has kept him positioned as one of house music's most respected vinyl-era DJs still actively touring.
