Dada Life
Dada Life is the Swedish electronic duo of Olle Cornéer and Stefan Engblom, formed in Stockholm in 2006 after each had pursued a solo career. Their DJ shows became known for maximalist, theatrical electro-house and big-room staging, using props and participatory spectacle as integral parts of the performance. They released their debut album Just Do the Dada in 2009 and followed with The Rules of Dada in 2012, then toured more than 40 cities across the United States and Canada. From 2011, the duo frequently headlined Electric Daisy Carnival and Ultra Music Festival.
At EDC in 2011, they brought out a full marching band to perform White Noise / Red Meat. Their own Dada Land events made the live concept even more ambitious: Dada Land Compound at Chicago's Aragon Ballroom set the Guinness World Record for the world's largest pillow fight in 2013. The following year, Dada Land: The Voyage brought more than 10,000 fans to San Bernardino, with the duo arriving by hot-air balloon. A Southern California edition in 2015 set another Guinness record, this time for the largest gathering of people dressed as fruit.
After serious health issues in 2014, Cornéer stopped touring with the group in 2017 for health reasons while continuing studio work. Through labels including Dim Mak and their own So Much Dada, Dada Life have treated the DJ set as a deliberately surreal shared event.
