Claudia Cazacu — Trance & Tech House DJClaudia Cazacu
Claudia Cazacu, born in 1982 in Târgoviște, Romania, is a trance and tech house DJ, producer and remixer. She moved to London in 1998 to study for a finance and banking degree and began DJing soon after arriving in the city, building her career within the UK trance scene from the ground up rather than through an established music education.
In 2007 she founded her own record label, Couture, releasing her own singles including Couture, Cowgirl and Scared, and has worked in the studio with trance figures including Sied van Riel, Fabio Stein and Alex Morph. Her productions International Departures, Elite and Contrasts, the latter with Sied van Riel, followed in 2008, and she continued releasing regularly through the early 2010s with tracks such as Valley of the Kings, Solar Flare and Café Del Mar.
Cazacu has also worked as a remixer, reworking tracks including The Space Brothers' Everywhere I Go and Energy 52's Café Del Mar, contributing to her standing within the trance DJ circuit built on club and festival bookings tied to her Couture label output. She continues to be credited as a working DJ and producer within Romanian and UK trance scenes.
