BLOND:ISH
BLOND:ISH is the performing name of Vivie-Ann Bakos, a Canadian DJ from Montreal who formed the project at the 2007 Winter Music Conference and began performing in 2008 with a residency at Montreal's Cherry Nightclub. Her sets move across melodic house, Afro house, organic house, melodic techno and deep house, often layered with African percussion, Eastern European folk melodies and live instrumentation including flutes and vocal chants. In 2017 she launched Abracadabra as a label, brand and event series, which took over the LEAF stage at Tomorrowland for both Saturdays of the 2018 edition and later expanded into a Twitch channel streaming performances during pandemic lockdowns. BLOND:ISH held an 11-week headline residency at Pacha Ibiza every Wednesday from May through July 2025, a run that returned for a second season in 2026 and was described by Billboard as a landmark moment for the venue. Beyond Ibiza, she has delivered sunrise sets at Burning Man and played Coachella, Circoloco at DC-10 and Miami Music Week, with more than 920 shows across six continents behind her, ranging from 200-person basements to festival crowds of 10,000.
